Handheld interactions

The Handheld projector is a special type of projector that enables the user to hold it as a grabbable media screen. User may place it anywhere in the virtual space.

Grabbing the Handheld projector

1. Reach out towards the Handheld screen.

2. Press and hold the grab button on your Quest controller to grab.

3. Move it to where you want it.

4. Let go of the grab button to place the screen in the desired location in the VR space.

Resizing the Handheld projector

1. Hold the Handheld screen.

2. Use the right controller's thumbstick: push up to enlarge, and down to minimize the handheld projector screen size.

Duplicating the Handheld projector as static media

1. Hold the Handheld screen.

2. Press the right controller's thumbstick inward like a button

*You can duplicate the handheld screen to any position by pressing the thumbstick in the desired direction. For example, to spawn a duplicate on the left side of the original, press the thumbstick button while pushing the thumbstick to the left.

Duplicating the Handheld projector as dynamic media

1. Hold the Handheld screen.

2. Press and hold the right-hand trigger button.

3. Press the right controller's thumbstick inward like a button

*You can duplicate the handheld screen to any position by pressing the thumbstick in the desired direction. For example, to spawn a duplicate on the left side of the original, press the thumbstick button while pushing the thumbstick to the left.

Deleting the Handheld duplicate projector

1. Hold the Handheld screen.

2. Press the left controller's thumbstick inward like a button

*You can only delete a duplicate handheld projector and not the original one.

Handheld Projector Special UI

When the handheld UI mode is active you are presented with the special handheld menu as depicted above.

Main return - Quickly bring the original handheld projector to your view.

Zero gravity - Toggle zero gravity mode for the handheld projectors. Making it float like in zero gravity.

Screengrab - Take an image snapshot of the original handheld projector and save it as a png image in the capture folder.

Sort - Choose how handheld projectors are sorted in your virtual space as the center of sort origin.

Delete - "Delete last" deletes the last spawned duplicate and "Delete all" will delete all duplicates in one go.
